Buying high mileage 6th gen ss?

What’s up guys I’ve been wanting a ss for a while now not many for sale in my state but a couple good deals but high mileage on both of them. One is a 2017 2ss manual with 30,000 miles for 30k the other one is a 2016 A8 2ss with 45,000 miles for only 26k do you guys think that’s to many miles for the price?

IMO I dont think those prices are bad, especially the 2016.

Those miles aren’t really that high. Averaging about 10,000 per year give or take. However, they might be previous rentals so check them out carefully before pulling the trigger. Prices seem reasonable though.

The 2017 would be a better choice in my opinion since it has less miles and is year newer than the 2016.

I just bought a 2016 SS A8 with 57000 miles. It had the transmission shudder. Dealer flushed the transmission and shudder is gone. I added a 3 year extended warranty just it case. It drives great and am very happy with it. I would not worry about the miles of the ones you are looking at.

Those prices are right and that mileage isn’t high. I’ve had two 2016s now the first one bought at 38K miles, wrecked it around 85K, the second one bought at 48K miles now has about 65K no real issues with either. Had to replace a rear hub assembly on the first one at 50K. I now have a job closer to home so the mileage won’t pile on this car.

lol since when was 45k high? I bought my 16 just before 2020 with 40k on it. It had the rear diff groan, got the diff flushed and so far so good.

Think yours will do 200,000? Your Camaro certainly is not neglected. But its life is hard in exchange for fun. I'll take the fun also.

Also OP if you are a manual person I would go with the M6. Those are both fair prices. I weighed buying a used SS versus the LT1 which you can find for around $30kish. I made the right choice for me.

Neither are high mileage and the prices seem ok, so, it just comes down to whether you want an A8 or M6.

Agree with you Wes that you will enjoy the 2017 with the M6 trans better than the A8 2016!

I just purchased a 2019 2SS with 34,000 miles. 29k. I wouldn't worry about the miles. Those prices seem high to me personally. Good luck with your search.

I got my new 19 1ss a10 for 33k new about a month ago. I missed out on a used 2ss 2016 manual with 28,000 miles. They wanted 28,900 for it.
