Is the factory boost gauge electric or mechanical?

Gonna go with electric. Just a guess so it will be neat to find out the answer to that. I will stay tuned.

There are no mechanical gauges left in these cars anymore. It's all CAN bus now. Sensors go the ECM first and then it tells the gauges what to tell you.

My cobra still had a mechanical boost gauge. Was hoping this car did too, makes adding an aftermarket boost gauge much easier. The floor level boost gauge isn't cutting it for me!

I have mine mounted on a A-pillar mount. The only problem is when I am going fast enough to read when I am in boost...do I really want to take my eyes off the course to take a peek up at the gauge??

Thought I saw/read something on a mod to the HUD that has the boost feature on it. Really be nice to have on the Heads Up Display. I'll see if I can find it.

I'm with you there, I'm just figuring its gotta be better to take a quick glance at a single gauge at eye level, then trying to take a quick glance at a pack of gauges mounted near my feet. Lol. Still not sure why they wouldn't have swapped the fuel gauge down there and at least kept the boost gauge up in the main cluster. Or better yet, put it on the hud. Small complaint though on an overa ll great car

Edit. You beat me to it normagene
