This Z/28 sounds like the perfect mid-life crisis car for me next summer when I turn 40...assuming the 2012s will be out by late summer. While I love my V6 RS w MRT exhaust, I do admit having some "engine envy". The Z/28 should cure that!
Comment on the auto vs manual for the Z: I have an auto now and absolutely love the remote start feature. There is nothing like cranking your car from 50 ft away and hearing it purr as you walk up. This and the considerations of driving in traffic every day gives some creedenceto having an auto....but I'll still likely get the manual. |

Svttim....sure I have heard of Chicago...I am a die hard Bears fan from PA...IA stands for IOWA....and knowing many from that area...Pickup truck with a gun rack is considered a sporty vehicle...
I took his trash talking of someone asking a real question personal...Got a problem with me?

so so so a Camaro, a mustang and a challenger roll into a bar, . . . . while the bartender is pouring the Camaro a beer and handing it over, the bouncer taps the ford and dodge on the quarter panels and points to a sign on the wall while he voices, "WE DON'T SERVE YOUR KIND HERE!"

We can read this one which I posted under "what I think the z28 will be."
http://www.leftlanenews.com/gm-exec-...-for-2012.html or more importantly: http://blogs.motortrend.com/6650713/...pha/index.html seems to me that the alpha platform has potential to be in the 2012 z28. Unless I'm just reading what I want to read and thinking it will be on the 2012. |

I would love to see the 2012 z on the alpha platform but I would think that if that was the case then they would be testing the prototype in the pictures with that chassis and unless i'm wrong it looks like its on the current chassis. But we can always hope.
Edit: Isn't there supposed to be an interior upgrade for the 2012 models? Does anyone have any info on the possible changes. |

The Z shouldnt be held out for the Alpha platform, why should it be excluded from the Zeta platform? If you can have this amazing performance right now then whyput it off so it can be the exact same thing on a different platform a couple years from now? And who's to say the Alpha platform will be for the 2012 model? As far as i know thats just speculation right now, for all we know it could follow normal Camaro progression and be 2020 before the Alpha is released, since Camaro updates like to work in sets of 10 haha.
Can we just please enjoy the Camaro as we have it now? It was amazing when it first came out and now everyone's calling it crap for the Alpha model, and once the Alpha model comes out everyone will be calling THAT crap for the next big update, so lets just enjoy what we have and what we can have and if we can have the Z28 then damnit lets have it haha |
