Do everyone a favor and stop when your lights red. Pay attention people!

Stopped at my red, it turned green and I proceeded to go. Girl blew her red at about 50 and took me out. Unfortunately with insurance and gap insurance I'll break even and won't be able to get into a camaro for a while again. I very strongly believe this car is totalled.

And the shop it's sitting at won't let me take any of my mods off. Headers axle back, cam, cai, mgw shifter, all sorts of suspension work, and much much more was done. I'm sore from the accident but fine otherwise. Not to sure how to proceed otherwise. If the cars totaled, I want my parts to sell. Idk if I can provide receipts to insurance for when the appraise the car, but even so, many parts I bought off forum members, so there's no real receipt.

Very scatter brained and I'm doing this from the phone. I uploaded pictures, so hopefully they go. If not, standby and I'll get the pics up. The carnage is savage.

In many cases if you don't add accessory coverage the insurance company won't give you more than "book" value for the car. As far as keeping your mods, I'm sure it varies by state so your best bet is talking to an attorney.

RIP Camaro, glad you are okay. Take this opportunity to get into a 2013 with touchscreen, and you can recreate your ride.

Literally gunna break just even on this loan. I couldn't swing it financially to get another car much less all the money it took to get this car modded to where it was

That looks like it will buff right out. Don't forget your lost time in having to deal with the insurance company. The last time I had someone hit me, I had them pay me for 8 hours for my time of carrying the truck for estimates and having to do sign papers etc.... They were only open during my same work hours so they compensated me for having to take PTO for dealing with it.

If you own the car, pay the towing fee and get you car loaded on a trailer. Its yours car. Get a receipt for the towing so you can be reimbursed. Get the car home and take your mods off the car. You'll actually save the insurance some money for storage. The car has to have wheel and tires plus the battery and stereo in it. It has to have the items that would make it functional. They do not have to be functional as the vehicle has been crashed. Spare Tire does not make it functional.

Do not get a lawyer involved unless you feel you are getting screwed.

Please pay attention to this if you have modded your car. Keep your receipts and talk to your insurance company. To the OP, you're gonna have to pressure the other company and it may benefit you to seek legal advice. You should be able to be compensated for your customizations.

This guy did: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=481671

If not, start ripping stuff out. If they have something to say, tell them the extra parts are for sale if they want to buy them.

So glad you are ok. Sucks for certain.

Where are all the haters that normally would blame. Your fault for not looking and so on?

Yes, because someone running a red light is exactly the same as doing 120+ mph with their child in the car possibly street racing.
