P0106(MAP) code on startup

Anybody else experienced this code being thrown on startup? It throws the code and goes into reduced power. I can clear it and car drives fine. Any idea? This has been happening since the engine upgrades.

If the shop followed the Magnuson instructions, the routing for some of those hoses is pretty tight. I deviated a little, for aesthetic reasons, too, but I might start by checking connections. Magnuson (depending on the kit that is purchased) supplies a little stand-off-type bracket for the MAP sensor to transfer on to. There is a new hose, also supplied. I'd check this hose. It goes from the MAP sensor up to the throttle body mounting inlet (right next to the blower drive assembly). There is a metal fitting that comes off the inlet, turns 90* partially over the drive assembly, and has a barb on the end for the other end of the MAP-hose. See my attachment for a visual, if you like. Hopefully it's something small like this.

I had a similar problem, and I attributed it to my installation, so I bought a new sensor and there wasn't an issue after that. The kit didn't call for a new sensor, so there was no new scaling or anything for it, nor have I noticed any difference in the Maggie tune than OEM. Maybe there is a DTC that needs to be turned off, or sensor manipulated in the Editor. The tuner should be able to verify that. Someone here with a cam should be able to chime in, too, I would think.

thanks for the info. i recd an updated tune last night where he changed settings in eng diagnostics. He raised the values in Baro Press Sensor. Would love to hear from anyone that did a cam and 2650 to see if they did any corrections for it.

was the new map u bought a gm piece?
