A week and a half turn around seems to be rather quick in my view but then I live near a metropolis. How good of a job they do remains to be seen but when I hit a deer with my van, the repairs were done so well I couldn't even tell.

As far as the loss of value, the insurance claim is certainly going to trigger a car fax indicator of previous damage. For an ebay sell, it could matter but when I traded in the van, I got back a lot more than expected, and no one seemed to care.

Sorry to hear of the issue.

Kindest,

I'm about to give her another wash and re-apply sealing tomorrow and give her some love; Will give her a look over as well.

It's crazy how powerful our cars are. 17 days in a Corolla really made me realize how special my car is.

Incorrect for a very similiar accident of mine...I watched a pc of, roughly 2x2 plywood, t-bone into my drivers side front headlight and fascia at 70 mph, on my 2010 RS..2900$ damage... Covered by Comp....not ur fault, no premium issues...took about 14 days to fix as well...

Yeah thats sort weird I just checked my comprehensive coverage this is exactly what it says on mine "Comprehensive coverage pays the cost of damage (minus any applicable deductible) that occurs as a result of a non-collision incident including: fire, flood, theft, falling objects, vandalism, collision with an animal, hail, malicious mischief, windstorms, civil commotion, explosion, earthquake, water damage, lightning, larceny, and damage caused by flying objects " maybe it all depends on your insurance.

Yup was a coup claim for me as well. Do I need to take off the sealant and reapply later? Could it damage my paint or something?

Should I take it off? I'm low-key freaking out and really don't want to ruin the bumpers paint for the long-term. Would taking it off damage it more than leaving it on'?
