Mystery of the Unknown...Will you wait?
Personally, I'm glad to see these new vids of possibly hi-po model Camaros...If I were to go 6thGen, it would be one of these versions....Other factors to consider, for sure, but not going to swap an SS for a 6thGen SS....
But I wonder if Chevy hasn't thrown a pause into many others who would other-wise commit to buy something sooner than later....I think I would wait....Have they hurt their own sales in the short-term with these spy-pics....? Last edited by 90503; 09-18-2015 at 08:31 PM. |

Definitely going to wait, although I planned on waiting a while before I got my 2ss, just gives me more time to save.

If I understand your question you are asking if those wanting to buy a new SS are now going to wait and this is going to have a big impact in sales?
Well, no - I think some will simply not spend that much or they simply don't want that much car, i mean a ZL1 is going to have 650HP - and a price tag of around $60K starting. I just don't think it will drive SS buyers to wait. Will it make some who are shopping a GT350 wait...UMMM YES! Did Stingray sales get hurt by looming Z06 coming to market?

Yeah, that's what I'm asking....More expensive for sure, but if they are coming out this close to the new Gen SS, might be at least worth a look first...
It struck a nerve with me because I couldn't wait for the 5thGen ZL-1 to come out, I jumped on an '11 2SS....In hindsight, I almost wish I would have waited....No biggie, just wondering if perhaps these are stealing some of the SS's thunder too soon... |

Some will wait. Some will not. I expect the next Zxx is going to be pretty pricey. I think the bigger question is how many 5th Gen Zxx owners will purchase a Gen 6 Zxx. Going to depend on price.

I am waiting for the 2017 top of the line model. 50th anniversary plus my lease will be up on my current car--since the 6th gen reveal I have been looking for updates every day and no longer plan on getting an M3 next.

It has made me consider waiting for the next 1le. I was content with mag ride and dual mode on a 1SS but now we will see what/if the 1LE comes with.

Yeah some will wait including me. I bet we will see a 62 to 65k price tag on the ZL1. Some will go ahead and get the SS because of the price difference. Not gonna hurt sales in my opinion. The ZL1 won't sell near as much as the SS

As a frequent car buyer. I usually buy one every year. just traded my 14 zl1 in on a 15 GTR. I'm def down on the Z model as I'll gladly trade the GTR in on this. It's going to be above $60k and under $70k. That, I'm pretty sure of. haha. Anything over $70k and I'm out.

I will wait. I learned my lesson with the 5th gen!! Every time I traded something cool came out. Plus I will have to wait til my current loan is paid off anyways!! Then I will have two awesome Camaros!!
