So you're saying that a 3800 lbs car with 20" DR on the track being able to chirp 3 gears is NOT a sign of performance?

Fail.

yes, the kit for less then $10k makes more sense.

I'm sorry $60k+ for a camaro seems crazy to me.
I passed on a GT500 last month for $42k...I thought that was nuts...

I have too much experience in buying past "IT" car then only a few months later the focus moves on then, and trade in values plummet....

Ask anyone who bought a 2006 Z06 for $95k+ a 2000 Cobra R for $$90k
a Extreme Saleen for $90k+ a 2000 Prowler for $85k+......the list goes on and on..........

I drive a 400hp LS6 CTSV that dealers tell me it's worth only $15k
I laugh that that price... 400 hp great ride, lots of room, great power, 25mpg
$15k????? and now $15k pays for the upgrade?

I'll get off the soap box now....and go drive my car....

Just had a question. I noticed on the video that the light was green for awhile before he left? Also did they just put down VHT on the track before the run? I can see the car's tracks all the way down the strip. Great job though!!

And....? I think I know what you are getting at, but the timer does not start until the front tire clears the timing device. The green light could be on for an hour before the car moves and the times would be the same.

As quoted... Timers dont measure until the car moves. Also on the VHT, I was not here for that test, however most tracks under IHRA and NHRA sanctions are gripped to the 330. Some tracks are even concrete out to the 330 and beyond.

Please explain...

It seems to me he didn't go on the last yellow maybe just to get the RPMs where they were wanted. I don't recall reading whether-or-not the Launch Control was engaged, but I know that the RPMs need to stabilize after going WOT so maybe that was the reason for the delay

I know for me, if I were just working on getting the best 1320' time possible, I'd do the same. I get awfully jumpy at the line when the tree comes down. Being that jumpy makes for less than ideal and consistant times. Of course, averaging .005 RTs over a few runs isn't bad either
