Just curious if anyone has noticed or looked for a Short Throw Shifter for the 6Gen SS.
I remember having one on my 5th dream build but never saw it as an option for the 6th Gen.

Congratulations on making it through GM to retirement! As a current GM employee, I'm curious what you did there?
And congratulations on the 50th! Welcome to the club!
They must have been saving that car in a warehouse for you, mine is no. 853, built July 19, and purchased Aug. 17, 2016.

If you go into People Finder and look for James L. Martin, I'm still in the system until Friday at least. So, you're in Lockport. I went to high school in Buffalo and co-oped at Harrison Radiator during my junior and senior years in high school.

Most of my time at GM was in Powertrain Engineering and in Product Planning. Worked quite a bit with a lot of the vehicle teams on powertrain (engines and transmissions). That includes the Camaro and Corvette teams. For a while back in the 90s - early 2000s I led the team that wrote the powertrain sections of vehicle repair manuals, engineered service tool kits and service parts kits and remanufactured engines and transmissions. One of my more intense projects was leading the "end of production" planning team for the 1990 - 95 ZR1. Spent a lot of time in Stillwater, Oklahoma on that one (Mercury Marine).

I hope we meet up someday, I would love to talk shop. I am an electrician at the Lockport Plant since November '99. (17 yr IBEW before that.) Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to Socrates or People Finder. With no pressing need from an hourly perspective, I let my access expire.

Thanks very much pfowl62. Still "sitting on the fence" about the Camaro5fest..... Being new to the Camaro community, I wasn't aware of the event until recently, and it appears most Hotels / rooms are pretty much sold out. If I miss this year, I will definitely be going next year.

I was looking at them, in part, because my 2000 SS came with the option. I haven't been able to convince myself the difference is worth the $$. The stock shifter feels pretty good.

Oil Cooler Line Recall Work

Greetings All-
I was wanting to post the photos of the work performed as a part of the oil cooler line recall on my 2SS Fifty. As you can see, the execution of the recall work was a bit intrusive....

I thought that was just for 2016 automatics? Obviously I was wrong.
