Installation Cost

Im ordering the following parts and want to know what my average cost for installation would be at a local performance shop or what would I expect? The parts are all bolt ons so figure it wouldnt be too high

-Injen CAI
-MRT Axle-Back V1
-BBK full length headers w/High Flow Cat
-Trifecta Tune

Everything you listed, just about any novice wrench can do. Ide say find a friend and buy a case of beer. Save ya about $300.

Hardest part will be the BBK's, but none of it is that difficult. I see you're in Austin. I'm PM'ing you something.

Hmm, i think friends are good man lol... they can hand you stuff when your under the car, or otherwise preoccupied. I had my friend along with me for most of my installs, we just talked about shit, but he was really just a helper.

We didn't drink though =p I think you're smart calling that out lol

I thought the MRT was welded on since it's an axle back?

Exhaust- $100-200
CAI- come on, don't pay somebody to do that. If you know what a wrench looks like you can do that yourself
Headers- $200-400
Tune- You do the Trifecta yourself.

axlebacks can be welded or clamped on, just like catbacks.

They have to be cut though right? Little more labor.

Yeah, but you can cut the pipes yourself with a sawzall or even a plain hacksaw.

yeah, but i still wouldn't pay a shop to do it.

Here's what I paid so far.

Injen ~$290 -Install: did it myself in 1 hr
Corsa catback ~$1080 -Install: did it myself in about 2 hours
BBK LT ~$680 -Install: did it myself in about 8 hours.

Total: ~$2000

All done in my own garage. It's all very simple stuff, just some of it is time consuming.

BBK 8 hours......does that include breaks, and drinks, and lunch/dinner and those moments when your spewing out cuss words for smashing your fingers?

and trips to the auto parts store because i don't have all the right tools, or good tools. lol

I didn't subtract that time because i don't know how much actual work time it took. plus other people will probably run into the same issues. lol

Or an exhaust tubing cutter on Autozone or Oreilly's loan a tool program. You'd be surprised at how quick and easy it is to cut those suitcase-style mufflers right off. Take the tool back, no problemo.
