Exclamation Are RECARO Seats all that ?

We all know Recaro Seats are available and being sold. That said, anyone disappointed in the comfort aspect compared to stock seats?

Bottom Line: Is it worth the extra money?

I'm hearing rumors Recaros are uncomfortable, and only good for the Track.

How is your comfort level driving 5+ hours in the Recaros?

I'm also wondering. I didn't get Recaro seats with my 2014, maybe looking to put them in aftermarket.

I understand all to well how America, and we Americans have become so disgustingly over weight unfortunately. However, I'm asking those people who are of average height and weight: 5' 9" / 160 pounds, how Recaros feel on long trips, say 5+ hours in the seat?

I am NOT asking about Tracking or Racing.

I'm 6'1 260lbs and love the seats, so does the wife who has chronic back problems. Better than my Jeep grand Cherokee Outland edition. Just can't get rid of the squeaking if all the way back.

Super comfy, all day long
Would I pay the aftermarket price, probably not
If you don't put the seat back, yes the side bolster rubs against you when in/out
Seat memory with easy exit would have been nice

All that and a bag of chips! Well worth the price.

Love em. I'm 6'1 235. I'm a bit too wide for the seats, but since I'm back in the gym now, won't have a problem with them here in the future. But, they are comfy. I know my gf loves sitting in them.

This is something you have to answer for yourself. In a CTSV I would not get the recaros. They don't fit me. Go sit in both, or better yet ride in both, or drive in both and see what you like. I would never get them for a car I owned.

YES!

5' 8" appx 170-180lbs, have them in a few of my cars and have driven in them on HRPT long haul 4 times, Rte 66 and PCH.
They are the MOST comfortable seat I have been in for long driving.
YOU can tell when you put on a few pounds though!

luv 'em. 5'9", 175lbs. Just drive 1100 miles in mine over three days. Fantastic. I had a '13 ZL1 with standard seat and after riding in my buddies '14 that had Recaros I traded in my '13 for a '14 and have never looked back.
