considering '12 ss upgrade from 12ls need opinions!!
here is what I am looking at.
http://www.morrisautosalesinc.net/20...6/Details.aspx My car as I said now is a 2012 ls m6 i have about 13k miles on mine and built up positive equity so I wont be taking a bath on it. I am a bit nervous about the new car for a few reasons. It is getting 2 new front tires as we speak and the front breaks are damn near gone. it has 24's in the back and 22's up front. the back tires look good and wear even. it has an axle back exhaust that I can't make out but looks like bullet shaped mufflers. the guy got the car from GMAC as a lease, rental or what I think is a repo. so Its hard to tell if it was hammered on. I can't tell if its been lowered cause the tires are Ginormous. no other mods to the motor. When I talked to the guy about the car he in the process of making a deal with another dealer to sell the SS so I can't waste time. I wont rush but at the same time I feel like I don't wanna miss out. So this is where C5 comes in. would you do the deal? current 1SS guys, how do your cars run after 50k miles? any idea what axle back systems have bullet styled mufflers? they look like dynomax bullets (I almost put those on my v6 then just did the muffler delete with res x pipe) My credit is pretty good so ill get a good rate but I know it will be higher apr then I have now (1.9%) Finally, please lets not do the v6-v8 fight. IDC about mpg and I like the sound and feel of the v8. please look at it as if you were in this position would you consider it as a good deal? I appreciate all the help and if anyone in my area is looking for a '12 1ls m6 pm me and ill get you info and photos. mine is yellow fyi |

Does this "new" Camaro have a maintenance record? As you described it, I would pass.

Test drive it and take it to a shop so they can look over it. If all is good sell the rims if you want they look expensive and get tires/rims or just keep them and get new tires. My SS has about 45k and everything is great.
If not this Camaro keep shopping and get another V8

I would also pass on that vehicle. Miles too high, and seems like it wasn't treated well.

If it was a repo, it was probably driven hard.

Whats wrong with the front bumper/fender? IDK too many red flags, I would pass.. You can probably sell those rims but then again IDK many people who would buy 2 22s and 2 24s lol.. IN YELLOW

the yellow part comes off so I could paint them any color as I have a contact for that. I haven't driven it as both front wheels are off getting new rubber put on. Thats how I saw the front breaks were darn near gone. I told the dealer I would need the breaks changed. so new front tires and breaks. |

That's exactly my though. Kinda why I am on here as well cause I was under the impression these cars are bulletproof. I have read posts where v8 guys are beating the ever loving krap out of their car and it just grins and asks for more. I have been looking for an SS for a while and want it to be at least a '12 or newer so I am not "trading down" but all the dealers are asking for 29k or more when the 14's are 32k out the door optioned how I want. since these cars are so hot the resale value is holding really well and I can afford a new SS but I don't wanna make a car payment that is way more than I pay now in both car and insurance. I am picky cause I have to have an m6 and the yellow has grown on me so much that I think if I went with another car I would hate myself. My 3 year old daughter would be so upset if I sold "bumble bee" and got into a different color. I tend to think I would be just as sad. As many have said its high miles, I agree, but if the 100k power train is still good for 3 years or 50k more miles all the "expensive" parts are covered right? |
