Cool, but it makes me kinda sad whenever the Camaro is referenced as a car for nostalgic baby boomers. I'm 21 and I'm getting the Camaro (or something like it) because I want a quick, sharp-handling, affordable, small-ish RWD sporty car. Of course I do like classic American iron, owning a 1970 Cutlass, but I just consider them classics - beautiful styling, iconic of their times, and fun to work on, drive, and be seen in. However, I'm not into the Camaro because I'm into those older cars. In fact, if it were too much like them, I wouldn't be interested.

I am 37. My fastest car up until now was a geo prism.
I went to school until I was 28, graduated with nearly 100,000 in student loans (still owe almost 50K), and have been driving a used 1995 (salvaged) nissan pathfinder for the last 9 years. In fact, I used sprinkler tubing to reroute the windshield wiper fluid from the rear pump to the front tube since the front pump died on me. Now I have to turn on the rear wiper every time I want to spray the front windshield. The body is cracked and rusted, and I used a hot glue gun to build out the door a little so it will depress the plunger to turn off the dome light when the door is closed. I deserve this car. p.s. My wife drives the Tahoe but even that one is a stripped down model. I can't believe I will have leather and heated seats - I will feel like a movie star! 47 year old baby boomer here.
Exact demographic they refer to. Youngsters post on forums a lot more than boomers do. The Camaro appeals to all of us, young and old. It also has models available for the beginning car buyer, as well as the enthusiast. It makes me happy when they recognize how many boomers will be coming back to Chevy for the Camaro. It also creates a diverse community of enthusiasts with one thing in common: the 2010 Camaro.

yes the weight concerns me, but actually my impression is that it looks smaller in person than in pictures. Most people who have driven it also say it feels smaller than it is. And also, it is relatively smaller than the G8. So that's how I consider it smallish. But it is on the big end of my list, which is: Mustang, 370Z, MX-5, RX-8, and Mazdaspeed3.

One of my Mom's friends bought a new '65 Mustang, and I remember when the '67 Camaro was coming, and it's true. The Camaro is a direct answer to the Mustang. Eat them up, yum! Which Wiki?
