2018 Mustang Reveal Yesterday

- MRC now available on all levels
- Direct/port injection on V8 now (hp increase not yet revealed, but redline increased to 7400 and compression ratio up)
- 10 AT the only auto available across the line
- Dual mode exhaust option (all V8s have four outlets)
- Heated steering wheel option added
- MT revamped for better clutch engagement and shift action
- Suspension tuning recalibrated all around
- Pricing not yet announced for all the enhancements on the packages

Mustang fans ought to thank Chevy for Ford bringing the Mustang GT with performance package up to SS levels of performance. I still have doubts the Mustang structure, even with suspension tweaks, can drive with the feel and solidity of the GM alpha platform.

Post this on the Mustang forum. I'm really tired of seeing people come on the Camaro forum and post about Mustang, Hellcats. I can imagine this happening on the Mustang forum. I don't care about the 18 mustang, at all. Post it somewhere else, but not here.

I welcome Mustang to elevate their game. I am sure Chevy will respond as well. It's good for us auto enthusiasts.

I am so sick of looking at car that I absolutely don't care about... Lets stick to posting to the first 2018 Mustang thread...

"Ideally you’d want an industry where there’s at least three or four entities competing. That, I think, tends to leas to the best level of innovation because any company that sort of stays stationary with their technology will be exceeded by their competitors.” - Elon Musk

For all those upset about this thread, just don't open it. The title of the thread was pretty self explanatory, so move pass it and don't click on it. Easy fix.

Thanks for the information OP, first I have heard about.

I'm pretty sure the OP is simply pointing out that the competition isn't really competitive if all it did was copy the options packages that are already offered by GM on Camaro.

In other words, Ford's answer to Camaro seems to be to catch up, rather than innovate. It's fair point, in my opinion. One with which I happen to agree.
