1LE Recaros appear deeper than Shelby Recaros
I saw the 1SS 1LE in person today and what struck me was how deep the seats were and how extensive the side bolstering is from my initial impressions of the press release pics..
I say this because the pics make the seats look less aggressive than they actually are. I think it is because the side bolster curves gradually and have no eccentric edges or shapes like some of the Recaros on other cars... With the disclaiker that is sat in neither, being right over too both of them made me believe the 1LE Recaros are deeper. Pics don't do them justice. [IMG][/IMG] Also, V6 1LE had been removed from Chicago Auto Show... Seems it was only there for press release .... A bit steamed since that car was not on a stage and seemed to be more accessible. Perhap Mr Wyndham or others who actually had butt time in the seats can add their perspective...

I was at the Chicago show today too and was also disappointed the V6 1LE wasn't there. The 1SS 1LE looks really aggressive. Those rims!

So is the back seat suede and leather too, or just leather?

Still concerned about that wheel gap... Still hoping it's a new car and the suspension has yet to settle... Perhaps those in the know can ask... You would think an inch drop at the least would not only lower the CG but make it look far more sorted.

1 inch would be too low. 1/2" drop would be perfect.

1/2" won't even be noticeable. That gap is like 4", it needs to come down about 1.5"-1.75" from these pics. Now the press photos show the car lower, 3/4"-1" on that would be good to go.
The pic below is Photoshopped with about a 1.5"-1.75" drop from the original. Im my opinion this is perfect. |

I thought one of the pieces of info for the introduction said that the rear seats would be just leather. It mentioned that for the 1LT and 1SS models the rear seats would be upgraded to leather to go with the leather/suede recaros.

They will be synthetic leather (AKA Vinyl). There is very little real leather in the "leather appointed" interiors. It's pretty much just the seat faces up front.

The bolsters on the Recaros are genuine leather. The seating surfaces of the back seats will be as well...the rear bolsters may or may not be. Not sure yet...
