If you can afford it, the ZL1 is a better car in every way. 580hp with a 100,000 mile warranty...it's a no brainer IMO.

3k on a 2013 is basically new, $46,000 is a very good price, almost makes me think something wrong with it. if the car is sound and you can handle it financially I say go for it.

Is there a purpose for the car...road course, autoX? Keep the 1LE and upgrade it. Drag race or just a Bad A$$ street cruiser get the ZL1. As far a miles, I wouldn't worry about it much as the ZL1 is built to take it. I got mine certified used with just a tick over 4000 miles and 8 months and nearly 13000 more miles later no problems. The other thing is if it's a dd the fuel costs will go up.

This is true. MAKE SURE YOU CARFAX IT FIRST! You may find it was in a minor collision or something. I had that happen to me. I found a black 2SS that was priced so aggressively it was almost too good to be true. Well, it was - someone rearended it months before and fixed it up. CARFAX is awesome like that.

You can't ask a bunch of guys that love more power whether or not you should go buy a more powerful vehicle.

Don't know your exact details but you payments would likelyly change. You'll get 35k or probably less on a good day on your 1le, less if you trade it in. The zl1 is an internet advertised price which typically includes all discount and I've found dealers don't budge on that to much. Often times you won't qualify for the actually advertised price.
So you're looking at an 11k difference. |

The only reason I would ever trade my 2SS would be for a 1LE or ZL1. A 2013 ZL1 with 5000mi came up for sale and we couldn't pass up the deal.
I haven't drove a 1LE yet and I'm sure they are fantastic cars. The ZL1 is an amazing ride! I would say go test drive it and see which one you like. Either way I don't think you could go wrong. It doesn't cost anything to test drive it. Good luck! |

...do you love your ride? Are you attached to it? The 1LE is the best bang for the buck Camaro. The ZL1 you described is a used car, so I assume you got yours new. Risk is involved as you well know. If you aren't happy with your current flat line performance and need more, the ZL1 is a sound upgrade. But buyer beware on a trade in on a used HiPo ride. The ZL1 is a kick ass state of the art do everything ride engineering marvel. It's sweet.

I was killing time yesterday on Autotrader.com and saw several '13 ZL1's going for $7K-10K off.
This NEW '13 Red ZL1 6MT was only $50K http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...gIndex=2&Log=0 |

I appreciate all of the advice everyone. I'm going to see if I can test drive it tomorrow...My 1LE is the most powerful car I've ever been in and it's stock so I guess I need to see what it's even like to have 580hp at my command...the big reason I don't mod is my warranty...I'd like to keep it in tact. I'd also like to find out how mod friendly my dealership is
