Contact K&N, I read somewhere on here about being able to get a spacer for it. Let us know if you can get it and reinstall.

I installed the typhoon edition like 2 week ago and I haven't got any check engine light on yet. and no issues with the air intake. I hope it stays the same!

Gave them a ring earlier, they had no idea of a spacer fix. Bleh.

throttle body spacers are useful for carburetors. Nothing else.

Though i haven't tested them myself, i'm just going by common sense. The intake manifold is already composite plastic. You're not going to cool the throttle body. The air isn't going to flow any better. The flow characteristics of the air through the 2-4 inches of the TB and spacer isn't going change how the fuel is mixed in the combustion chamber because we have direct injection.

So if you want to completely waste money, go for the throttle body spacer.

Absolutely everything written there is BS for our car. It only makes sense on carb'd cars. Stick this in the same bucket as the turbonator for cars that dont mix the fuel before the TB.

I dont think they meant a throttle body spacer. They were looking for a spacer to help with the low RPM whistle the intale makes.

Maybe a "gasket" is what he meant? A whistle is usually producedd from an air gap of sorts.

I believe we are looking for something similar to this.

Would be nice if K&N stepped in like CAI did for the V8s and provided this small part free of charge

So thats sounds like its the protrusions behind the throttle-body I think jacfab trimmed them off with no performance issue.

Yeah. So it sounds like if JacFab released that ported+bored out TB/manifold whole unit it would be a double win . Power + eliminates the whistle. I'd instantly buy it.
