So as a part of my deal, I told the dealer I wanted the black LED bowties on the vehicle. They did not have any in stock, however the parts were ordered before I rolled off the lot.

It has been 3 week since I have had my car and they finally came in (they black LED bow tie has been on back order apparently). I will be dropping it off at the dealer tomorrow morning and will be taking a loaner to work.

I was wondering if anyone knows if I will have the ability to turn it on and off manually? I am pretty sure they stay on as long as the daylight running lights are on, but I would like to have the ability to turn it off by choice?

I dont think so. It's wired to the drl. no real electronics/controller or separate circuit.

Was worried this was the case. I think i am going to try to wire a switch to it... but I have no idea where I am going to place the switch let alone get the other end through the fire wall...

Odd those were back ordered when I checked a local dealership he said they had a ton available @ a warehouse in MI and he could have it in 2 days. I ended up ordering mine when I purchased my car with Becky over the phone and they installed mine same day as delivery as soon as the parts arrived.

There's always room where the stock harness passes through.

The bow tie is controller by the DRL's. I have mine wired to a Bluetooth switch via my phone. Works great. I ordered a black bow tie recently and had it in 2 days
