What was the oil level before doing the dyno? Did it truly seize vs stalled and won't restart?

Oil was fine. No stall just cut off and engine wont turn over.

Who cares if it's on a dyno? It certainly isn't worse than flogging the car on a race track.

Thoughts:

1) car will go through the warranty process which can be lengthy depending on the situation.

2) cars value will take a significant hit due to the engine replacement

3) hopefully there was no mods on the car. Someone had theirs denied due to a fricken catch can.

All above information can be referenced on these forums from others with the same issue.

Get it off the car if it didn't come with it. If GM gets involved and they see it on there they may well blame the failure on it. As noted , a guy was denied warranty for one on the car a year or so ago. Some people will quote the MM act and how they have to prove blah blah blah but you don't need that hassle and liability either........

Any idea how hot the oil temps got? I could see some blame being put on the dyno if there wasn’t adequate airflow over the cooling system.

It was on a professional dyno and the oil temp was fine.
