If you are so concerned about MPG why did you buy an SS?

Maybe it's just me but I'm always surprised about guys that ask about MPG or complain about MPG when they bought an SS. I didn't ask about MPG and truly I don't care, if I did I would have bought the V6. I bought the SS for the HP fully knowing my MPG wasn't good, yes the V8-SS is not fuel efficient, maybe you should consider a Prius.

Some people drive their ss as a DD. we can't all be lucky enough to have a weekend only car.

If you can't afford to have it as a weekend car, then buy something you can afford gas on rather than spending $35K on a V8.

It's my DD, but I don't drive too much so doesn't matter and like the OP I didn't buy it for MPG, If I was concerned with gas I would have got a completely different type of car.

If you buy an SS, you should understand this. However, I think people complain when they are getting way below what they should. Ex: Getting 15mpg when the car is almost exclusively driven on the highway.

I get between 11-16 mpg in the city. On the freeway as much as 28+mpg
Combined about 20+, way better than my Toyota Tundra

Exactly. I'm just saying that I would complain if I got city mileage on the highway.

I hate it when people bitch about the MPG on their SS too. Why complain to us about their own poor planning/research?
Bottom line is you gotta pay to play.
