Reach in the trunk and pull down on that trunk escape tab, once it's down enough use the bowtie to shut completely.

Don't forget to remove arm from trunk first

I use the bowtie too. Would be great if someone made a replacement bowtie that has an indent in the center so it could be used as a handle

The quickest fix to your problem is to either grow a foot overnight...or ask mom and dad for help kid.

I'm 6ft and I use the bowtie. Then again, mine was built in '09, you know, back when Camaros were rock solid

I use the lid, I used the spoiler initially, but now I just press on the stripe on the lid under the highwing.

You could tie something under the carpet. Or why not pull on the trunk release, then press down on the lid?

Just press down on the lid on the stripe.

In '09 the bowtie has the two alignment pins. That has been changed now.

I can attest it was a real pain to remove the bowtie!

I Wish

"I wish I was little bit taller,
I wish I was a baller
I wish I had a girl who looked good
I would call her"

It should be alright to close the trunk by the spoiler. That's what most of the rest of us "giants" are doing. As long as you're not hanging on it and swinging from it, it should be fine.

(Damn! Someone dug into the "archives").

So I usually just end up grabbing the bowtie to close the trunk :-) Wish she had a trunk closer handle on the inside (my hatchback used to have that)
Luckily the trunk action is super smooth and is easy to close

Just buy a stool and keep it in the trunk.
To close...
1-Stand on stool.
2-Quickly jump up off stool and grab stool.
3- On the way down from jump quickly throw stool in trunk with right hand and with left had grab top of trunk and pull down shut just as feet touch the ground

2010 Camaro SS modified extensively. I stretched the body to make it a 4 door, but I swapped in the 3.6L DI V6 for fuel economy. Then I picked up a corvette body around the V8. I also swapped the body for a C2 Z28. (In short I traded it for three cars, a Corvette Z06r, a C2 Camaro Z28, and a Cadillac CTS Summer Performance package 3.6L DI with Aisin 6spd.)
