Glad they are going with the 8L45 in the 4 and 6. 1st gear is geared 4.62 since the engines aren't as powerful and it weighs 33lbs less than the 8L90.

Not sure what tuning would need to be made for a lower power motor and seeing how they do have turbo 4 prototypes, application issues are solved. Only hold ups would be production related.

Anyone know what gearing comes standard on the A8 in the V6 and V8 models? Being an A8, aren't the rear end gears higher than we are used to seeing?

On that same token, I wonder if they will offer performance gears ala some kind of performance package. I've not seen anything on that yet.

Actually it says "Available performance Brembo disc brakes", maybe the standard LT brakes are also made by Brembo but are not performance brakes. That would make both statements correct.

Looking at 2SS, RS, Hyper Blue, M6, Mag Suspension, Jet Black leather, polished silver wheels, and more options as they appear!

3.73 in the ss! *squeal* im not sure how the other gear ratios will change the effectiveness of that over the gen5 1-6 gears tho. I find my gen5 is geared like crap for cruising in most speed limits too. 3.73 probly help that.

I don't think there is an RS package for the SS. It looks like the SS comes with all the RS stuff standard. If I got the Hyper Blue, I would get the polished silver wheels too. Good combo!
