2018 mustang vs 2016 Camaro on the same dyno

Kinda interesting. Camero made 406 rwhp and the mustang made 396 after running the first tank out and re filling with 93. On Carlyle racing dyno

I think some will dyno a bit higher than that for sure. When the 16 SS came out some initial dyno runs showed around 395. And then we started seeing 405s and 410s. I'm not sure how high they got up to. But I think the GTs will dyno around the same. Some will hit 390s while others will be in the 405-410 and some even higher. That is unless Ford was more conservative with their claimed HP ratings and if Chevy severely underrated the LT1.

I usually stay out of these types of discussions, but ford is advertising 460hp, just 5 more than 455, which seems quite suspicious IMO, just being able to say they have "moar"...All the dyno info I've seen so far seems to indicate the LT1 still has a leg up on it on HP, not to mention the torque. Ford is getting closer, but I haven't seen much discussion on how they limit the bore on the coyote and basically prevent the kind of torque-rich displacement like an LS3 or LT1. Maybe this discussion is buried somewhere in these threads that I do not want to read, but with a 5hp advantage, I'd expect that to be meaningless, within the "noise", and the torque will really tell the tale.

It’s a bore spacing limit inherent in the coyote architecture. It is cube limited by nature. Not just because they like a challenge

My 16 baselined today at 402 on a Dynojet. After the tune she hit 420.

Mods are longtubes with high-flow cats and a Rotofab CAI.

119+mph tells you all you need to know.

I think just so we can stop worrying about how fast the 2018 S550 is we compare that GT to my M6 which dynoed dead stock at 429 to the wheel at JRE. Game over Mustang!!

There was one running at Atco last Tuesday, but I did not get his or her time. Maybe Snowblind knows.
