How different is it in mild mode? Contemplating adding this control as well.

I have the switch but haven't installed it yet. I'm thinking a project for tomorrow. Working on upload of video before and after I did today. Stay tuned.

Hi, where do you by the npp mufflers ? also ca you just install a mild to wild to work them without the vacume ?
Any one try it with the factory ground effect kit ? they say it will not fit but it looks like it will . A cat back npp is close to 2k from what the dealer told me Thanks , Pete

PM 2SSRS@Gen5diy for the exhaust, or just keep an eye out in the used section. There's been a few of them for sale lately. I also don't think just a mild to wild switch will work. You'll need a vacuum system described above or will need to purchase the electronic kit that is available. It runs over $200. You should be able to find the axel back exhaust for around $400 or less. I've seen a few for a round $350.

I don't know about the factory GFX.

I ordered the switch but they cancelled my order and refunded payment. Must be gonna be out of stock for the foreseeable future.

Any worry on the hoses becoming loose or corroded due to weather, heat or other factors with time? I saw some other instructions on the Exhaust Commander NPP retrofit kit and they're running hoses down under as well. Not sure if that's the way it is on stock cars already equipped with NPP.

There's no clamps on the stock system, but if you were worried about it you could install them. I can't see why there would be any corrosion issues since it's just rubber vacuum hose pugged into an aluminum actuator. The stock system on my ZL1 looks fine after 1-1/2 years using the same method of attachment from the factory.

Is there a way to just buy the npp valves as to hook up this function on non OE mufflers?

Ok im planning on doing this, can I set it to have the butterflys closed at all time?

Not really. When the car starts they are open till the vacuum build up and closes them. They also open up under full throttle when the vacuum drops enough.

OK got my zl1 exhaust, all the vacuum hoses and vacuum switch. Quick question, does it make a difference which port on the switch the vacuum lines go in? And does the button on the switch need to be pushed down or pulled out to work with bi-mode. Can't wait to do this, damn snow through a wrench in my plans today.
