Road courses FW Texas

Hey everyone, getting my car back from Wragth motorsports today, and I have the itch to get back out onto a road course. I just moved here and the majority of the road courses i googled require a racing type of license. In cali we would just sign up with a club and go for the day. Any recommendations or suggestions on car clubs out here that do track days? Thanks for any help!

Apex driving academy and The Driver's Edge both have HPDE events at MSR Cresson and Eagle Canyon, both in your back yard. Track Night in America has some events at one or both of those tracks as well (they actually had one at Cresson today...).

NASA - runs at ECR, Cresson
SCCA Track night - runs at ECR, Cresson
SCCA TT - runs events at ECR, Cresson

Also Chin, Edge Addicts and PCA run events at COTA

Awesome thanks a ton guys! I was thinking about joining motor sports ranch but it looks like they have a ton of clubs that go there.

Cresson 3.1mi CCW is my favorite track layout in Texas. But I'd recommend starting with the more common and easier 1.7mi CCW layout. Most of it is used in the 3.1 layout so it is also a good way to learn part of the 3.1.

I have met others who like Eagles Canyon best out of the Texas tracks but personally I still have a lot of improvements I want to make after driving 3 days there; I find it harder to put together a fast lap there than most other tracks I've driven.

The SCCA Track Night events are usually held MID-WEEK and have the most OPEN format. The BEST learning HPDE group is APEX HPDE. The most stringent RIGID group is DRIVERS EDGE. This is run like a MARINE boot camp. The FASTEST group of drivers PROBABLY run NASA. The TIME TRIAL groups with APEX are very fast as well.

The FASTEST track is Eagles Canyon 2.7 CCW. They have track days that they themselves put together. The MOST expensive track experience will ALWAYS be anything having to do with COTA. The LEAST expensive track day will be a SCCA Track Night event at about roughly 175 dollar entry.
