When receiving my 2010 ZL 550 from SLP. I visited Toms River, NJ SLP facility and was informed SLP only modified cars for contracted customers. Hence the serial numbered cars. Very curious how these cars are still unclaimed?!? Love my ZL 550......

But they were claimed/bought.... according to the listing:

"ONE OF OUR GOOD CUSTOMERS LOVED THESE CAR SO MUCH WHEN THEY CAME OUT IN 2010 THAT HE ORDERED SEVERAL OF THEM IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND ONLY DROVE ONE AND LEFT THE REST OF THEM BRAND NEW AND UNTOUCHED AS THEY LEFT SLP ENGINEERING AFTER THE MODIFICATIONS..."

$35-42k is what I'd pay, especially a 2010. For $50k I'd go ahead and pull the trigger on a 2013 ZL1.

$50k for a SLP, something about that doesn't sit well with me.

Sounds odd. Unless the dude bought them thinking he'd have these super rare ZL badged 5th gen cars. Then GM built the ZL1 and pissed on his parade?

I'd also be a little weary about buying a heavily (albeit professionally) modified car that's just been sitting for 3 years.

These are the first ZL cars on the new chevy frame and minus the magnetic ride are probably very similar to the new ZL1 at a faction of the cost, I would even dare to say faster with more HP!

These were bought by a chevy dealer in MI and sent to SLP for modifications, The story I heard is similar to what was said by another on here. Some rich guy bought them and now wants to get rid of them, I have seen the stickers, they at 40,000 dollars 2SS's with 31,470 worth of SLP mods done to them. From what I read on the SLP stickers these are modded to the max, GT Brembo front brakes, drilled rotors, adjustable sway bars and lower springs added.

And yes going way low, not sure this is a bad deal or something to even worry about, I also have seen two other dealers up north, Wisconsin, and PA selling new SLP's one had a 2010 and one had a 2011.

FYI, I am buying one now, a new 2010 (trading my 2010), still getting a first year Camaro and now the BIG HP upgrades of the new ZL1 for way less than they originally cost and way less than a ZL1! I think it's a great deal.

The cars are coming from a private collection. But they were cared for properly while sitting idle.....I've seen them.
All are the fully optioned cars from SLP and retailed for $65K.
They all run like new and I think they are all still under warranty (have to check SLP build date), but are still under the GM pwertrain warranty. Most have like 20 miles.

The dealer, Desert Autosport, is owned by a guy named Randy who is very cool and also an enthusiast. They take trades and you might be surpized at the price you can get if you make him a serious offer.

I have to ehco what speedmon says, I got the best trade in offer of any dealer I have looked at and I was trying to buy a 62,000 dollar ZL1 and he beat thier trade in offers for my 2010.

Randy is great, he has worked with me for the last couple of weeks in getting my deal done. Hopefully next weekend I will pick up my new SLP.
