Hubby put a different set of tires on the back for me and it set off the warning on the DIC. He's amazed by the "relearn" process. All these new-fangled doo-dads...
I was visiting the neighbor lady with 8 cats, all of whom were very interested in jumping on the new "perch" in their driveway but every time they'd come near I would make the horn honk and scare them off |

I had an '89 Mustang that was set up for racing, and I had removed the emissions air pump and other garbage. In doing so, I had to run a shorter drive belt, so i had to do some creative rerouting to make it work right. From the factory, the water pump and fan run clockwise (opposite of the crankshaft).
I had the car at a show, and a young guy was staring at my configuration. I was standing next to the car and he said, "Hey, did you know that your fan is running backwards like this?" I explained that it was supposed to, and he proceeds to argue with me. We go back and forth, and his buddy sees that I'm getting irritated. His buddy grabs him by the arm and pulls him away. I heard the buddy say, "All those other Mustang guys know him, and he knows what he's talking about." That cracked me up.

I think the best story to this day I have with my remote start is back in HS my senior year I bought my Pontiac G6 and it had remote start. Well I was in the marching band (ya ya blah blah, marching bands are big in the south) and we practice in the parking lot, there were lines and everything for the field. My G6 was just off the front sideline and during a break a couple of flagline girls were sitting on it. I had my keys on me so I remote started it, I don't think I ever saw someone jump so high

yup. I have scared the crap out of several people with remote start, I've had it on my last 4 cars from the factory..
my 300c had motor work, LT's Hi-flos, and Flowmaster Mufflers, it was VERY loud, and gave a few people a heart pause.. Even with my Avalanche, and now the Camaro, I like to start it when people are looking at it or in it.. Scares the poop out of them.. Never had someone tell me my car was being stolen, but quite a few tell me I scared them.. |

I see you are in Kalifornia. Here in Texas many folks have remote start. Nice to be able to cool the interior down from 120 - 130 degrees before getting in.
Even my 2500HD Crew Diesel has remote start.

Everyone is my buddy till they prove different. That is till they come across as rude or clueless. You're in Texas... but my guess is you are not from Texas.
