I doubt the production version will sound like this. It will be more quiet.
Actually the dual mode is quiet most of the time until you punch it, and it will open the valve for the straight through. That's how my Z06 was.

Its definitely a single pipe on each side. Does sound pretty good. The dual should sound as good or better.

Except this time you'll be able to dial the mode to Sport or Track, which will adjust the openness of the exhaust. It won't just open up due to pressing harder on the pedal this time....you can tune it yourself.

That would be nice, because I had to remove the fuse to keep it open. But I would get drone on cursing. So, be able to adjust it from inside is great.

The shorties make a big difference on the sound. When I put LT Headers, the car just woke up. It was great for a month then got the big S/C and start breaking $hit...

For me, the Gen6 SS would be the way to go for looks and performance. Not a fan of, no CD player, the LED watery eyeball look (bad makeup day on any car), and less HP and MORE TQ on the new turbo than the V6 (???). V6 disadvantage on take off (stop light to stop light)? Not trying to be critical honestly, just my personal preference.
No doubt that buyers on the Gen6 will be very happy. Really nice specs on the SS!
Someone please, add some good vibes to my few somewhat neg. perspectives here.

honestly, I havn't touched a CD in a good 3 years. our laptops at work dont' even come with a optical drive anylonger. You can always burn those CD's to MP3 format and stick them on a thumb drive orsomething. Doesnt' take long.

So the car in the 1st post didn't have the dual mode exhaust like this one, but for some reason the dual mode didn't really sound any more aggressive than the regular exhaust, so I find that a bit strange.

Makes me think either:

1) first car didn't have the standard stock exhaust
2) maybe the guy revving the car with dual modes didn't have it in its most open stage
3) maybe they've tuned the standard exhaust to be similarly aggressive to the dual mode exhaust, but the advantage of the dual mode is simply that you can tune it how you want instead of being stuck in one mode.

Just my thoughts.

you can't expect the stock exhaust to sound as aggressive as aftermarket. for me there is no question that i will replace that giant can(muffler) with an aftermarket exhaust/pipes. i do like dual tips though...

thanks for the video, good stuff!
