The Challengers ignition system is keyless, a proximity sensor reads the wireless code from the key. The Red key is the only key you will ever use. The black key is basically a valet only key.

It deactivates the paddle shifters on the auto
Does not allow any of the traction control systems to be deactivated
Only allows starts in 2nd gear. No first gear access. (auto)
Disables launch control
Limits RPMS to 4000
Disables driver suspension selection to street mode only.

Holy Crap!

I stand totally corrected! I thought they would have made it so that you had to buy all kinds of basic stuff ON TOP of the Hellcat option which would bump the price big time.

Well done Dodge, well done.

This is a very badass car, can't wait to see one up close. Just not for me, a bot too much car.

The release of the 2015 Dodge Challenger lineup. Here is the SRT Hellcat, 6.2L Supercharged,8 Speed automatic (707HP, 650lbs-ft) at Portland International Raceway -

"These are a couple of fun laps as I was playing with the paddle shifters in the car. As you will see there are a few mess up's on my part, but overall the system shifts very quick, precise and is really enjoyable to use. For those of you who know this track, you will also know that 141mph on the back straight, in a street car...is fast. The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat specs and price are also impressive."

Interesting... Car and Driver just reported (4 hours ago) that the Hellcat with manual will have a base price of $60,990

To be fair you bought a 2013, the current model out is the 2014, which can't be ordered anymore as Chevy is now building the 15's

Value shopper. That was the point. There are similar or better deals to be had on ZL1. Low $50k with 0% for a new ZL1 is a lot for the money. I prefer the 13 so I specially sought one.

You got a good deal, for sure, I would like to be a value shopper for a left over Hellcat in a year, but I don't know if thats going to happen. The reason you got a good deal is GM made way to many 13's. The 14 production numbers are much lower so I doubt you will see much of them left over, and I expect the 15 to be the same. You were in the sweet spot when buying, I doubt that will happen again. You had good timing on your side.

Thanks. Your right about the volume built and the fact that the bloom is off the rose helps too.
I looked quick on Autotrader and saw two in the low $51s without much effort. One in VA and other in IA. Others listing MSRP will negotiate. If you wait until winter through March you'll really do well. You need to be willing to go a few hundred miles. I went 300 miles but found the exact car I wanted

I love the styling of the ZL1 more than the hellcat; but that is one hot pu$$y!

Great Job SRT/Dodge

I'm thinking the hellcat really stands out at the drag strip as SRT hasn't marketed the car with any road course figures...I'd love to see a shootout comparison around Laguna Seca between ZL1, GT500 and Hellcat with Randy Pobst (or somebody with skill) behind the wheel
