That's the problem. If you ever decide to sell a modded car you are giving the mods away for free if they stay on the car. I demodded my 98 SS when I sold it and made DOUBLE what I would have if I tried to sell it as is.

I'm still in shock at what a bargain this car has turned out to be!!!

Easily leads GM's fleet in terms of performance per dollar, imho!

Actually, no. Not an opinion. It's a fact. Who could dispute that?

kinda disappointed in the 0-60 time..I was hoping around 3.7-3.8 then i would've of traded and upgraded in a heartbeat seems like ill just add a 302 boss or wait till i find a used zl1.. but i think the price sounds fine for the upgrades and full track-capable right off the showroom floor, ..just my 2cents???

At this price the ZL1 is back on the list of cars that I may get next, congrats to GM.

This is great news IMHO and can only get better heck have to consider the 2013 Mustang also.

Ahhh the beauty of it all, the car will be in my garage and I will be grinning from ear to ear every time I climb in it. Camaro is in my blood, keep your talk and you drag numbers to yourselves, I get to paint my garage floor, what do you get to do?

It's about being able to get the power on the ground. That's why the R8 GT and other cars of that caliber cost so much. They get the power to the ground, and with less power.

I get what everyone is saying regarding the GT500 and it's notable past traction issues, but what do we have to go on that a 580HP ZL1 is going to put the power down any better? I know it has PTM, but from what I can tell from the GM video and other sources, in order to get a consistent launch will little or no wheelspin, it electronically controls/reduces power. That probably explains why it only runs a low 12 official time despite it's power output.

From a drag racing perspective, put both cars on drag radials at a track (the only place they need to be racing, BTW) and I wonder what the difference will look like?

proof is the nurenberg ring times...... if youve done any road racing or scca stuff you know that this is truly the peak of performance evaluztions imo.....
no offense to anyone but drag racing is like kindergarten compared to track racing, imo having done both.
