Hurricane Irma

Is anyone else as terrified of this thing as I am? Cat 5 storm the size of Ohio with 185mph sustained winds that is getting ready to uppercut Florida and the east coast? Not 100% but it is big enough that it looks like it will impact Fl with a high probability.

I have some stubborn family in FL who will probably just "ride it out" but damn I have been through a TON of hurricanes and typhoons... I do not think any look as troubling as this one.

On a scientific note...it looks quite impressive.

Hope it comes close enough to SC to scare my employer into giving me some overtime. Not looking good for Florida but still too early to tell.

You don't have to work the entire time?

It's supposed to hit when I'm technically off but I'm sure I'll end up out doing something.

I've got a friend in PR that is riding it out. This isn't going to end well for them.

It is very impressive and not taking chances with this one either. The wife and kids are going to bug out Thursday to Orlando. I'm going to stay with the house and get to a shelter if need be.

Wow we really don't need a double whammy like Irma right after Harvey, be careful those of you in her path.

We're pretty much experts down here when it comes to hurricanes and tarnaders. We like those that stay behind when things get real bad and after they're told to leave. That's how we thin out the herd and get rid of trailer parks. No one ever rebuilds a trailer park.
