Clunking / Popping from Driver Front Suspension - Possible MRC Strut Failure
Well I developed a pretty bad clunk/popping noise over the last few days (since Tuesday). I had my installers for my BMR parts check over the car and they confirmed that everything is still tightened to spec and lubed well (they installed the stuff just a couple weeks ago so that's not enough time for the lube to run out.
When they had the car in the air they noticed moistness at the base of the Driver Front Strut. So it is either that or a ball joint or some other link that is making the noise. My guess is the strut because it is making some WEIRD ASS NOISES for what I would expect given the road conditions I am driving on. It is like it is sort of working sort of not and once it gets compressed enough it gives up until rebound from the springs...that's the best I can describe it. That and the front is now very rough riding on roads that it is usually smooth on. The best part is the dealer can't even see my car much less actually fix it until March 19 and I will now miss the first Autocross events of the year.

The dealer had to replace my driver side strut when the car was about 3 months old. They checked and was all tighten to spec but no good. They had to replace it.
