How to get a good deal on a used Camaro?
I'm looking on purchasing another used Camaro SS in the near future. Most of the stickies refer to deals on New Camaros but what is the best way to purchase used? I look through Car Gurus and Auto Trader and see very large price differences and makes me feel a bit uneasy.
What is the best way or website to buy used Camaros? Should I go to a chevy dealership? How can I get good deals like 30% off? |

You’re not going to get 30% off
I recently picked up a 2016 2SS, 6k Miles, M6, MRC, NPP, Sunroof, etc. MSRP new was $47,370 I got it for $32.9 So there are deals to be had if you’re willing to deal maybe a bit further away from home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I'm in agreement with Sub: December. Or better yet the last ten days of December like Glen e. recommends is even more spot on. Expand your search too, to other markets and you might find that 30% off you seek. I know I plan to do all the above ... starting from yesterday.

Haven't really considered going the used route, but this has intrigued me. Do you guy/gals think there would be that big of a difference between buying now vs in December? Is it realistic to find a sub $30k used 2SS with less than 10k miles?

Used? You can find those on cars/autotrader/cargurus for as low as 32k (some with mid to low miles) and I personally have seen some 'lowered prices' in the last couple of days. New or used: 16 and 17's will be one year older in less than six weeks. I'm watching new 17's. Happy hunting everyone!

% off
You’re never going to 30% of manufacturers sticker on a popular car.
Remember rebates come from Chevy not the dealer. MSRP ________ no dealer add on sticker -Dealership discount _________ -Total Chevy rebates_________ +Dealer fee ________ Total price of car_________ Add tax & tag Negotiate trade separately

30% from Chevy? Probably not. Yet when you factor in end year dealer discounts (if you can get them) it might equate to a number close to your overall goal. Those last ten days of December can be quite the motivator to that reluctant dealership trying to make big bonuses.
Sometimes you have to take a loss to win ... find that lot that thinks the same. |
