Think I read on here that the Cadillac CTS 18" alloy spare also fits. Anyone try that?

I would be interested in a group buy. I noticed that I didn't have a spare after I bought the car. I didn't like it. In the last car I had to pull off the highway and put the spare on after a tire blew out. I don't have AAA and fell that calling for someone to help is being lazy. I just put the spare on and went to get a new tire (could not be fixed). I have been looking at this kit since I bought the car last month, but since having a flat these days is rare, I would only carry it if I left town. Trunk space is a premium in this car.

Might be worth looking into. I just did a quick ebay search and they look to be about $300 though so I'm not sure that it's really a better option. Maybe if I could find one from a local junkyard it might be the way to go if I could get one cheap enough?

I'm with you, I would leave it at home on the shelf for local driving and take it with me on long trips. I feel like flats might not happen as much as they used to but for me I've already had it happen so moreso peace of mind.

They are on eBay, just saying, and you can save a few bucks not getting the storage bag.

They actually one specifically for the ZL1 :https://www.amazon.com/2016-2018-Che...spare+tire+kit

Not sure whether to get the SS or ZL1 one for the 1LE.

The 1LE has slightly different brakes than the ZL1 so I might think that it would fit? Might be worth just shooting them a message to check.
