I would personally be shocked, with the amount of vehicles I've seen out there, that they stuck to the 750 speculated.
Part of me is a little disappointed, but part of me is excited because I don't need to keep her stock and pristine and now I can get her some modifications in the future, especially since they're going to continue the trim for 19+.

The manual that comes in the 1LE is a different gear ratio with a different part number. That's how people are coming up with this information. Make sense?

How many ZL1 1LE's is sufficient 411 needed to cover the 2018 year build results the OP is looking for...it is either a ZL1 1LE or it isn't.
Every ZL1 1LE made for 2018 is just that...anything else is a ZL1 with a standard tranny missing everything else that makes it a 1LE like 19" tires, dive planes, lighter rear window & the aggressive CF wing & suspension. Otherwise, its another 1LE Camaro model with sommething other than a the ZL1 badge & LT4 power. Not complicated but really interested how deep we can dig We originally heard at launch build qtys would be 750-800 total...what the finals are do not depend on anything other than being a ZL1 1LE mfg in a the 18 window. Make sense?? |

Point of clarification; Although all M6 ZL1's are equipped with a Tremec TR6060 the top gear ratio is different.
The M6 gear RPO for ZL1 1LE (A1Z) is MH3. The M6 gear RPO for ZL1 is MJK. Therefore; if we determine the number of ZL1s built with MH3 manual transmissions, we can extrapolate from that data the number of ZL1 1LEs built.

The ZL1 1LE has a specific transmission found specifically in ZL1 1LE’s. The #2 post claims to know that GM has installed 1,025 of those transmissions in to 2018 Camaros, which (unless other info comes out) would indicate that 1,025 ZL1 1LE Camaros were built in 2018.
This is not my research, I’m just trying to help simplify and unpack the thread. |
