Anything like this happened in Camaro history? - Mustang fire while cruising

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/show...=18255&page=22

Not one to gloat...nor to take pleasure out of this. Also not saying All mustangs are fire prone now (crowd prone maybe)...But just curious, has anyone heard of something happening like this in Camaro history? I know there were a few Challengers whose engine blew up for no reason a few years back...but any Camaros?

Also...those pictures are gonna be in my mind for a while now....

So I know of (and I don't even follow this) of about five GT's and three GT350's that have cought fire over the past year or so. Seems Ford is going to have a real problem on their hands if they don't get to the root of this. They have had fire issues before, like with the 1.6 Ecoboosts that had to be recalled twice. Yes, any car can have an issue and catch fire, but that is a rare case. But multiple cases in a short timeframe of the same car make you wonder...

You should really edit the thread title, and make it say (Mustang fires) at the end. The thread title is very open ended...

The mustang though left the dealership after a check engine light service. They checked and said everything was alright and gave back the car, which did not have the engine light again. And then it just caught fire while the poor guy was driving home. No accident or no other warning - just fire while on road.

Just to clarify, it's not a crash. Look at the guy's outfit... a service tech testing the car after a repair. Not sure of the details.

I remember a few years back a guy's Camaro catch fire. I remember he was on the 5th gen forums. I cant remember if it was a SS or ZL1, but it was something about the wiring.
