Rashed out right rear wheel.
Well, I really did it this time. Really dark street... took a curb with my right rear wheel while making a right turn and rashed the crap out of it.:( Tire still okay but the wheel looks like hell on the edges and the pressure sensor is out too. Anybody got any idea of what a replacement "stock" 20 x 9 polished aluminum GM replacement is worth? I'm heartbroken.

HEY!
Did you happen to take lessons from "Mom" Settlemire? (......she's Past President of the National Curb Climbers Association) OK - I should be for that one...... Seriously - this happens to a lot of people (......including me) - and I know the sinking feeling right after it happens. I'd check with local Chevy dealers to see if they have 'take-offs' from those upgrading their wheels to 21s - also Ebay and local scrap yards - they're out there!

I didn't mention that it was raining as well. The ironic thing about all this is I will receive my new Magnaflow Cat-Back X-Pipe system Monday. (JDP Motorsports 16583.) I'm looking forward to that, but this is another very much unwanted expense. Just shows to go you - when it pains it roars... No wait a minute... When it rains it pours - yeah - that's the ticket. |

When I did this to mine it cost me $535 to get it replaced by the dealer (technically that's including the oil change I had them do as well). But that was for the stock midnight silver RS wheel. On the plus side, with the rewards card thingy they gave me for that one purchase I won't have to pay for my next few oil changes......

You can also look at wheel repair shops. Often they can repair the wheel a lot cheaper than it can be replaced and it looks as good as new. We have a place up here that I have been sending wheels for years to be repaired. I have sent them Porsche rims with huge chunks missing out of them and when we get them back, you can't tell where the piece was missing.
