Have your ZL1 mod order planned?

Is it too early to plan? I've never owned a car at "this level" before (technically still don't), so I'm curious if the standard bolt-ons are the same priority. I wouldn't expect the same return on investment for standard bolt ons as you'd get for say an SS.

Lowering springs first. Hope to find info on compatibility with our suspension.

Never to early to plan!!! I'm interested to read what folks are planning.

In some cases, the bang for your buck is better!

I've already got a few things "scheduled". But they are cosmetic and track-prep...no power/suspension mods until I become familiar with the car.

All depends on dealer with warranty coverage. I would like to do intake and headers asap as long as tuning wouldn't be required right away. Then do the rest of the exhaust and tune.

Got burnt with performance mods on my 5th gen ZL1 so keeping the powertrain completely stock this time around. Any changes with be purely cosmetic.

Just completed stage 1 paint correction, application of paint protective film, and ceramic glass coating. Next on the list is GM black out tail lights, maybe LED side markers, and some under the hood dress up.

Xpel on the nose, Ceramic coating over all including wheels. Competition alignment. RE71 tires with light weight wheels if I can get them to fit. May have to go to 19's. Rest stays stock for stock class events. Keep the 20"'s and stock tires for the road.

I had a feeling cosmetic may be the majority intention this early. I was thinking the same. especially after seeing some of the wraps and tinted lenses done.

mr965, I was wondering if that was still possible with a magnetic ride with adjustable modes. I assume that's just the inner "shock" that would stay the same with the lowering springs to adjust the height?

The protectant film is definitely going to be one of my firsts. I got my black 5th Gen in 2009 and I had tons of noticeable chips before 2010! Maybe after I replace the spoiler for one of the aggressive wicker bill looks.

hawk02, how'd you get burnt? Did you need a warranty service that wouldn't get honored because of your mods?

i would NOT recommend any type of coating for the paint. it will NOT help with rock chips. i had 10 layers of ceramic pro put on my old car and still got chips, and swirls still appeared. xpel ppf is the only solution. in my opinion. yea the water beading is cool with ceramic pro but who really cares? plus ceramic pro needs to be touched up once a year or so. installers dont like to mention that either... ceramic pro is overrated.

If I can get an allocation on A10.... Mods after break in period will be Whipple, Cam, LTs, meth. Possibly a ProCharger over the whipple, if they make a kit for the ZL1 at the time.

I hope I hear something over the next couple months or I'm going to Z06.

Oh cosmetics... Tint and floor mats
