I don't know because GM most likely won't come out with a ZL1 for 2 years or so! Sothe ZL1 might have more power!

Those carbon wheels are going to be pricy LOL

Anyway GM better comes with a better N/A engine now. Well if the ZL1 is priced right, its gonna be a blast though with the LT4 haha

Ford is king of the NAIAS !

They went GTR style with the new Ford GT...TT6 and nice trans...

WAKE UP GM!!!
They said the GT350 R is 130lbs less then a track pack equipped Gt350. So until we know what the Gt350 weighs, it's all a guess.

That press release stated the GT350R will be "limited production"....I wonder what Ford's idea of limited production is compared to GM's with the Z/28....

Yeah still giessing..but I dont think the GT350 is gonna be significantly lighter than a base GT.

It appears Ford has learned their lesson.

Ford isn't King. They showed a bunch of stuff you can't get for quite a while yet. They were reaching for show because they are the ones who's sales are suffering right now.

GT? Not until END of 2016 which likely means 2017. Keep in mind they don't even have a mule running around yet. GM has had their mid engine mule photographed and published.

GT350 R? Maybe at the same time as the GT350 but even that isn't until late 2015. And without CC brakes, this car will be a match for the Z/28, but won't walk away from it if it even can beat it. But since Ford has almost a year for more tuning and time in the Z/28 to keep working, maybe.

Raptor? Pretty cool. When was the date on that one? Not a huge volume player and for GM or GMC to enter it would simply fragment the market. Ford gets credit for going there first and maintaining.

Yes, nice stuff from Ford, but all a ways off yet.

GM has been on top in the Muscle/Pony car wars for years...will that continue? What will GM do to protect their reign?
What would make you think that? As we've speculated from C7 timing GM won't even be coming out with the Gen 6 until very late 2015 or early 2016. NOT showing it in Detroit is no indication of a delay.

It already has more power than the ZL1. But Ford is holding off and GM likely won't have a new one for, as you suggest a year or two later.

I think it will be on dealers lots Q1 or Q2 2016 not Q3 2015 as typical.

If the next GEN is coming as 2016 shouldn't they be revealing it to the public by now.

The C7 was revealed at Detroit. I thought the 6th gen would have been too but apparently GM has other plans.

My guess is New York. I hope they have got it right. They now have the Hellcat, GT350 and GT350R to beat. My main concern is that they get the styling right, I don't really need 500HP, a 350HP V6 would be fine for me.

the issue there is the HP number is what everyone and their mother is talking about right now. "OMG the Hellcat has 700!" "the new GT has 600!" The Camaro needs to be competitive at the show to really get peoples attention. yes the looks are important, and I agree with that 100%. but if they bring a car to the show that looks good but only makes 350hp, they'll get laughed off the turn table.

Ford didnt dominate Detroit? Then who did?

Out of all the stuff revealed at Detroit, Ford definitely won.

I'm sure GM would love to compete, if they have the ability.
