Well, I listened to all the advice I got on here and bit the bullett and told my salesperson that if I didn't get the newly advertised price on my car, I would walk away. He called me last night and we had a productive discussion as to why I should get the newly advertised price. I called him back this morning and they don't want me to walk away. They are selling me the car for $300 dollars less than the advertised price because my GM Card made the cost of the installed splash guards a wash. So the bottom line is I am buying the car now for $4300 off the sticker price ( including dealer incentive, rebate and educator discount). I think it went from being a good deal to a great deal. The salesman told me my car is here and he says it's gorgeous. I will be driving it home Tuesday night after I get out of work. Thank you to those who told me to hang tough. I can now be a real member of this forum instead of a phantom who has been waiting for the car for 11 Weeks! I am ecstatic and so are my colleagues at work.

By the way the dealer gave me the same trade in amount that they originally said they would and the $980 finance charge was removed from the PO. Also the ad was without a doubt my car because it was the same VIN# in the ad.
My car is the 2LT RS 50th Anniversary, sunroof, splash guards , wheel locks and Navigation system. |

Glad it worked out for you.
As someone who used to sell cars, I have very little patience for games, hence my advice. |

Good job on holding your ground to get the price you wanted and finance charge removed.
It sounds like you got a pretty good deal. Enjoy your car! |

So the car with painted splash cars stickered at 41, 590. After rebates, sale pricing GM card and money off on the sticker came to $ 37,000 even. I am taking delivery tomorrow if everything goes accordingly. Ps: my GM card was enough so I don't have to pay out of pocket for the splash guards. I think I did well for myself. Opinions?
