The Z28 flop will be an excellent investment if you care to seal it up and store it until the 2040 Barret Jackson Auction. Lol
Still a badazz car but is well underpowered for the money.

I will own a ZL1 in due time, but those investment for tires is a killer.

ZL1 - other than the obvious bits from the C7 and CTS-V that others have mentioned, I'd love to have the 34 speaker Bose Panaray sound system thats in the Cadillac CT6.

"BTW I believe the 1LE package will be offered and I believe that will trounce the GT350

Here is a question..........should the Z/28 cost less than an ZL1?"

That is a good question. I believe everyone would love to see a Z28 that is way below the current $72,000.00. Current Pricing:

2SS - $38,000 2016 - 2SS - $39,000
1LE - $42,000 2016 - 1LE - $43,000
ZL1 - $55,500 2016 - ZL1 - $56,000
Z28 - $72,000 2016 - Z28 - $49,000

Not sure that this pricing is feasible for 2016 but it is something I can live with. If the Z28 starts with 2 piece rotors standard and CC brakes as an option and other features do the same it could be an entry point much lower than the current $72,000.

I'm pretty happy with everything I see on the 2016 SS. Give me that with north of 650hp, a suspension that can handle that much power with some bigger sneakers to absorb all of that directly into the pavement and I'm good.

I think they should drop the ZL1 and do a 1LE and Z28. Make the Z28 more affordable for the everyday man and woman.

Or better yet just do a SS and Z28 with V8's.

What I would like to see in the new Z2/8

650hp LT4 tuned for Nurburgring. I would like some creature comforts that when you get to the track are easily removed to conserve on weight. Nurburgring times under 7:08. This would make the other manufacturers freak! A car for under $100K blowing their doors off. Also the new chassis can be configured with AWD. Z2/8 650hp AWD! Can you say 10 second Quarters?

Maybe they didn't buy one because it wasn't good enough, or it wasn't what they were looking for. people can still give valuable options/opinions without driving the old generation that most likely won't hold a candle to the new generation.

The big issue here is that when Ford reintroduced the Boss for the 2012 MY it was closer to the model put forth by the original Boss; a high revving small block with primarily suspension and other chassis modifications.

What we have now as the 1LE option on the SS is the closest was have now to the original Z/28. I think that is where Chevy messed up, and extremely badly. Z/28's were always affordable to the every day worker, the new Z/28 is not.

I saw a flop because I've been with GM for 6 years in a dealership and every time someone says, "MAN!, that's one B.A. Camaro" I say yea... it's the new z/28!, how much?... only 76K!" pass.... flop... forget the tech and performance... no bells and whistles... and WAAAAAAY overpriced... especially now that the GT350 starts in the high 40's... c'mon!

I'd like an LT4 version of the car, with a base price of around $56K to $58K.

If they follow suit on the Z/28, which is a very focused track car, if they drop one of the other, then it should be the Z/28 they drop. I'm not privy to gm's books, but my bet is the ZL1 was far more a money maker than the Z/28.

I'd be happy if they throw an LT4 in the SS, call it whatever they want - maybe add aero kit, that would be good enough for me. My guess is that it won't be good enough for GM and they will blow our freakin minds with the next LT4 version.
