Hankook ventus or Goodyear eagle sport ???

Hi everybody,

i have to change my 4 tires and i hesitate between this 2 configurations :

1 = Front, Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110, 245 /45 r20
Rear, Hankook Ventus ST RH06, 275 / 40 r20

2 = Front and Back, Eagle Sport All-Season

i read on tire rack and on internet lot of information, and the hankook looks a little bit better, but i'm not sure.

i live in Montréal and i'm sunday driver (no track, very relax), But i realy want a tire for good stability under the rain and maybe a little bit of snow / cold temperature...
(i will have a winter tires, november to march)

Control, stability and security first ^^

what do you think about this 2 choice? what's your favorite?

thanks

Im in the market for 21" tires, talked to a buddy of mine who just purchased the HV tires, stated they are superior in the rain over the factory PZEROS

I have the Hankook Ventus tires listed above. They are awesome and agree regarding the stock pzeros.

I've only run Hankooks ever since my stock Pirellis ran out.

ok for Hankook,

but i have an over question, the hankook are W rate, and on my door (and on the P-zero), it's write Y.

i know W is for 270 km/h and Y for 300km/h, too fast for me and my car.

But for the insurance, if you don't respect the manufacturer recommendation and you have a crash... are you in trouble or is it ok?

Tire rack selection for my car is mixed : W and Y

Also have Hankook Ventus V12's on my wheels, and can agree with the others about better in the rain than the stock Pirelli's. Not that it rains much out here in Phoenix

Did you happen to notice that those Hankooks are summer tires, just like the oem Pirelli's? Those things sucked here in Arkansas and it's only cold 3 months out of the year. I couldn't imagine having to endure them for 7+ months of cold weather. If you're looking for the decent set of cheap tires, the General Gmax AS03's are popular. Continental extreme contact DWS's are very nice tires but they're a bit more expensive. They do have a 540 tread wear rating which means they should last a bit longer than most other offerings.

i will only use the Unkook / others summers or 4 saisons tires from april to november.

i will have a set of winter tire for november to mars (if you know a good winter tire ^^),
it's the law in Québec

for me, the most importante is good stability / grip under the rain, not too much noise, good life time.

Do you have to have specifically a winter tire or are all seasons ok? Both of the ones I mentioned are all season tires. I have no experience with the Generals but several on here run them. The Conti's are very good in the rain. A quick search in this section should bring up quite a few threads on both.

For the winter, it's only winter tires (law in quebec)

what do you think about this Goodyear eagle sport as

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...odyear&tab=All

compare to the hankook for every saison driving
(rear hankook are all saisons but the front is summer tire)

i read some complains about the noise with the G-Max, and the conti are a little bit too expensive for me

I have the Hankooks too, great in the rain and get pretty good traction even with my power.

Way off topic but holy crap you're from my hometown. My parents still live there. Guessing I'm probably older than you but did you go to Avon Grove HS?
