PERFORMANCE CHIP

I have a 2010 SS. I am considering a performance chip. Anyone out there tried one yet and/or make any recommendations?

I'm not 100% sure about the SS, but that I am aware of, these cars cant use "chips". Instead you get your engine control computer custom tuned (programmed) for performance. I understand there are several choices for the SS. Check the ss performance section for info on that. I think they run about 500+ and will technically void your warranty, so keep that in mind if that is important to you.

PS, welcome to the site!

Don't bother with a chip.
Most of the hand held tuners are about the same with their generic preset tunes. A custom tune will get ya abit power and will be able to adjust other parameters.
That being said, I'd talk to Ted @ Jannetty Racing. I belive he uses SCT with tunes via email that he can send to you with the mods you have or are planning to have.

What the heck is a "Chip"? Did we go back a couple of decades?

just finished talking with the guys from Dynomax who came to a show where I work and they told me that the 2010 camaro ss Matte black that they have was chipped, tuned added a cold air intake and full exhaust change which gave them significant rwhp increase.

I have had a hard time understanding all this tuning also. I guess they make handheld for beginners and the more advanced go to a shop for a dyno and tune special for your mods you have on your car.
