Street car takeover in Topeka, Ks

Any you Camaro guys going to the Takeover in Topeka the 18-19 of August. Should be a pretty cool event. Plenty of fast rides.

Awesome. Can't wait to see the numbers. Are they going to kick you out after one pass? Good luck Brother.

I'm leaving in an hour, I had problems with my laptop to be able to data log and I had to work later then I planned yesterday so I'm loading the car in about 15 minutes. I was trying to mate the AEM wideband and HP tuners and ran into a problem that locked my data logger. I was able to fix that last night and I'm ready to roll. Since I got off so late yesterday I would have gotten to the track to late so hopefully everything will work out today. I have Mike tune in that ran down in the low 10's with the 80mm pulley, plus the trans tune is in it now with some torque management taken out and about 4 degrees more timing added. Its should be jack the bear, hopefully it will hook and I believe it will even with the addition 60-70 rwhp or more. We will see. Pray I text you with some results today. Pedal to the metal

Well it was hot as F--k, there was just no way with 4350 DA and 95 degree temps that it was gong to go as fast as I wanted it to. The car is def faster and the hp is there since I went over 133 on two passes. my best mph at the fest was 128, But the low tens just didn't happen, not yet but it will. Best pass was 10.70, it spun the tires on every pass on a prepped track. I did have a 1.52 60ft spinning the tires off the line. Perdue was there and did a video of one of my passes which I believe was a 10.75, it spun a lot on that pass. The lines were long and the motor was building a lot of heat before I even got to the water box. If you think the Camaro fest was hot, nope way hotter and DA was about a 1000 ft higher then Bowling Green. It was still a shit load of fun. I'm going to Gateway next month for Street Car takeover again. Weather will hopefully be much better.

You are dedicated my friend. I wouldn't race a Honda with the A/C on in that kind of DA. Now you are going to have to learn how to drive that monster out of the hole. I feel a 2K pedal exchange coming on. LOL. It worked for Mikes car at BG.

We put some more timing in down low and Mike was worried about that with the small pulley and I told him that car has always hooked no matter what as long as I do my burnout correctly, the first pass I didn't and it didn't hook, the second all passes after that I done my usual burn out and it still didn't hook. He might have to take just a little power out down low, the track was a little greasy for sure. It was still 92 degrees when I went into the semi finals about 9pm, DA was still at least 4000 ft, I was my slowest pass of the day, it was just killer hot. It sucked but we all had to deal with it. I think it would spin the tires more if I brought the rpms up. I may go this weekend to Stl if they have an event, its only going to be 82/61, low humidity. I've been trying to run over 130, that finally happened a few weeks back. Now I need good air to get my ets close to where I think they should be, 10.50's.
