I have muffler deletes on my SS and I think it sounds great. It is loud though as everyone has said. If you dont mind loud and all of the decel popping then go for it.

I've had the muffler delete for over 5yrs now. I still love it. I have since then put headers and the nightfury on since then. The guy at the shop actually told me that he thought the muffler delete was the best sounding exhaust on a Camaro. He said he thought it would be a waste of money to buy mufflers for the Camaro. He also did tell me that he also done a charger with the muffler delete and it wasn't 10mins and he was back to put the stock mufflers back on. Lol different car different sound.

Everyone talks about muffler delete being loud on a LS3, to the point I was a bit concerned about it since we almost always have our toddler in the backseat... but its really not loud at all, even in a convertible. My wife summed it up perfectly as "the way it should have sounded from the factory"

We just took off the mufflers, everything in front of the axle is stock, maybe the folks saying its loud remove the resonators or cats, but mufflers only is not loud.

I agree. Mine isn't loud either... at least not at idle or just cruising along. My wife never even noticed when I had the mufflers removed. Now, once you step on the gas it's louder.. but otherwise not really. It does sound a heck of a lot better.

Your right .It's far from loud . It has a nice rumble without being offensive. I had hi flow cats with it and it still wasn't off the chart loud . Just right imo.

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!!! I put Borla touring axle backs on my L99. It sounds great at start up and accelerating but when the AFM kicks in the girl's a little farty. Three ways to correct. A tune, but that's not warranty friendly, AFM Range device that cancels out the AFM or put it in manual mode and paddle shift.

Anyone ever run headers, hi-flows and a muffler delete? How much louder is that? I'm considering adding headers and hi-flows, but if it's going to be too loud I will need to budget for some mufflers.

There is "cheap", and there is "quality". Hint: muffler deletes are cheap.

That depends on the kit. The Stainless Works kit is very nice quality.

I did magnaflow muffler delete, solo hi flows and headers. It wasn't until the xpipe install did it get really loud. But still not not to obnoxious. Here's the car on the dyno. I was outside because it was so loud in the shop my phones microphone didn't pick it up very well.
