You guys had me all worried, 6x9's piece of cake

you guys had me all worried when i went to change my 6x9's . everyone said the seat was hard to get out and that you had to take all the panels off geesh.

everything came right out it was a piece of cake.
push in a little on the bottom of the rear seat and lift, it pops right out then you tilt it 45 degrees and lift by the seat buckles and it comes right out. the back of the seat is very easy just fold it forward and then find the pivot rods on each side push the clip locks back and lift the seat out.
all the panels just pop right off the sides no worries guys. just be careful thats all because everything is plastic.

Thanks for sharing this .... I agree it has been described as quantum physics - and this was VERY helpful .... add anything else if worthy. I think the more we rip these cars apart the less confusing it all seems and this is one of the only places I've not ventured (and this was very helpful!!!)

yeah i was like i dont know if i should do this, but i had already bought the speakers so i said screw it. and everything came right out i only struggled a little bit with the rear deck plastic it gave me a little trouble popping it up and out but it came out.

and when you take the top side covers off ( the ones next to the rear window) pop them off but dont yank them because there is a special clip on them that you have to take off to remove them from the car. its a black clip on the top of them. you have to unhook the clip from the plastic. you'll see it it looks like its attached with a plastic belt. here ill show you a pic

Did you replace them with these?

http://********.com/Chevrolet-GMC-Su...-Adapters.html

Were they plug and play or do they require cutting and splicing wires?

Nice to know the plastic work wasn't too bad, I'll be looking forward to this.

Can you show me which plug and play connectors you got? I thought the one's on ********.com did not work for the rear speakers if you have the BA system.

Anyone that can replace a toilet seat should be able to do this.

you know what i think your right , I just opened up the box with the plug and play connectors only have two wires attached to them. But they can still be used by installing two extra pins in the connector so i dont have to cut the harness. unless these are suppose to be used for the door speakers .
I havent gotten this far yet so i'm not 100 percent sure. as i get further i'll post the rest of the info.

wait a minute this has me thinking now i dont need 4 wires with my new speakers. my new speakers have crossovers and only need two input wires
i'm going to have to check the ******** site to see which wires i need to use.
