Questions About Wideband AFR
Mods- Feel free to move if this is not the correct location. I haven't posted in a while.
I had a wideband AFR Gauge (AEM 30-41110 UEGO) installed on my car. My mods are in my sig, but, for the sake of brevity, supercharged with all supporting fuel mods and tuned. I am reading in normal driving conditions between 11-15 ratio. When I lay into the boost, the gauge flashes "- - -" almost as if I am out of range for the wideband to read it. I can't tell if it's too lean or too rich. Anyone else see the three "- - -" with AFR Gauges from AEM before and know what it means? Did I get the wrong gauge since I'm supercharged? Was it installed wrong? I am guessing I probably need a better tune, but any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

The little --- like that means out of range but if anything you're going super lean. Have you tried calibrating the sensor first and then seeing if it reads any diff?

mine does the --- when i let off from a hard pull. It quickly gathers itself and starts monitoring correctly. As long as it read right during while you are under acceleration.

Mine will read a flat 10 if rich..... so I agree on this possibly being lean or maybe a loose connection

I got a chance to put some hours on it last night and I noticed it only does it during deceleration or when I let off the gas when I'm going down a hill. It's fine under WOT pulls and quickly collects its self as soon as I touch the throttle again.
Thanks for the replies!

That gauge is fully adjustable and a data logger. (I believe for 3 hrs). Anyway, just download the AEM software to a laptop, hook up to your USB cable, and you can change the alarm (flashing lights) perimeters. Set it so in vacuum there isn't any too lean alarm, but under boost it should be at 11.5 or 12.00 or whatever you want.

This is why I bought the analog version of AEM's wideband. Digital is always available via the data wire but seeing the needle move is infinitely more valuable than some digital display blinking at you.
