Z/28 bumper?
Seen this posted this morning, the grill insert is clearly for the Z/28.
Let me know what you think. |

No, he doesn't. That's the ZL1 1LE bumper, missing the splitter and canards.

Most likely its for the ZL1 1LE. I am trying to look for a ZL1 grille with the badge removed to see if its similar.

Here's the ZL1 1LE grille badge. Looks similar but there is no slash extending down.

Which is what leads me to believe its the grille from a Z/28
What else would fit that? ZL1 doesn't use a "/" |

This wouldn't be the first time a full fascia leaked. Remember, some guy had multiple gen 6 fascias before the car was revealed?

Al seemed pretty firm that the Z/28's successor was the ZL1 1LE...
Remember the 2012 ZL1 used to be called "Z/28" up until a last minute management decision. Some obscure parts on that car are still labeled "Z/28", in fact...I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happened with the ZL1 1LE. Though that's only a guess on my part... |

The Z/28 could simply be a N/A version of the ZL1 1LE like the Grandsport Corvette. I think they learned from Ford that something "new" has to come out every few years to keep the line up fresh.

I cant find the original post anymore, was posted in one of the 6th gen Facebook groups though. Good chance that this grille was pre-production z/28 and decided to call it the 1LE instead. We will never know til the Z/28 is/inst released!
