If I traded in right now

If I traded in my brand new V6 Camaro for a used SS. What kind of hit would I be looking at. Just got a $3,200 paycheck. Dealing was good this week.

Depends on what you owe and what the dealer is willing to give you for your car, not sure if your large paycheck will cover the difference tho in my opinion you will still be in the hole a little bit

You're looking at taking a hit one way or another. How much depends on total price out the door for the used SS, how much you get on trade-in, how much you owe on current car, etc.

It pretty much boils down to how big of a hit you're willing to take once everything is figured out.

If your dealing lol you'll need the ss to drive away quickly if a deal goes bad and be able to loose a car that's chasing you. Try not to take to big of a hit on the v6 trade tho

Yeah, your right. Just see those SS's on the street and get so envious. I have to give the SS talk a rest for a while and be happy with what I have.

A buddy of mine in the car business told me a rule of thumb when it comes to trade in values. Go to the Kelly blue book site and enter the details of your car. Select the "private party" price. Look at the price listed for "fair" and take 2 grand off of that number.

So, let's say that KBB says that your car is worth $18,500 in fair condition under private party sale. Take 2k off of that number and you can expect a dealer to offer you around $16,500 for your car.

If your dealing...save it for the bail bond.....you've already made 2 bad choices...buying the 6 cyl. And dealing.....I can't see any of your future decisions improving your batting average....jk...bank it or put it towards the principle to pay off the car you have now
