So I went back to the dealership today and had them put the car up so I could take some pictures of my own. Here is what I took. I am guessing that you might not all call it dirt now. I have owned this car for 2 months now.

That is all surface rust from you burying the car in mud. As said already, clean it and prevent more by treating the area. Coat it or simply use 303 protectant.

Two weeks after and that's what it looks like. I truly hope nobody buys one of these that lives down a dirt road, or lives in the north where they treat roads with salt. If that is what a couple of weeks will do I can't imagine what 3 years would do.

Theres a huge difference from driving down a dirt road to burying the car in mud.

If you had cleaned off the mud as soon as that had happened, I doubt that even half of that corrosion would be there. Mine is still spotless after 3k miles.

Dirt roads from were I was raised can become muddy, but whatever. To have a car sink into the mud next to a mini van on approved on site parking at an open house. A little too much.

I know that as soon as I get my jack I'm going under the car, cleaning of rust and covering with some sort of rubber repellent or whatever. Of course after I paint my calipers.

Most definitely. I asked them if I should have them look at my Tahoe undercarriage, and they told me Chevy coats all of their trucks and SUVs with a thick coating. That was coming from the professionals.

I said car. Trucks are made for a different purpose. Never heard of cars getting undercoating unless it was specifically ordered and that's normally up North.
